Frecuenta costa marina y aguas interiores pero nidifica en árboles, al borde de lagos y ríos. Cría en Tierra del Fuego e Isla de los Estados. No realizan migraciones importantes. El plumaje se le humedece fácilmente por eso posan extendiendo las alas para secarse. L. 73cm

Frequents seacoasts and inland waters but nests in trees, near lakes or rivers. Breeds in Fireland and Staten Island and stays there all over his live. Rests on rocks and branches, holding wings open to dry its plumaje. L (29”)
